HC Deb 09 July 1930 vol 241 c397
3. Mr. MANDER

asked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs if he is able to say whether the Argentine Republic intends to be fully represented at the meeting of the Assembly of the League of Nations at Geneva in September; and if he will take steps to express to the Government of that country that His Majesty's Government would welcome the reappearance of a full Argentine delegation?

Mr. A. HENDERSON

I have no information as to the intentions of the Argentine Government in regard to their representation at the forthcoming Assembly of the League of Nations. As regards the second part of the question, I would refer the hon. Member to the answer which I gave to him on 5th February, in which I said that I was confident that Argentina did not need to be assured of the satisfaction with which His Majesty's Government and all other Members of the League would welcome the full co-operation of Argentina in the work of the League.
