§ 17. Mr. SORENSENasked the Secretary of State for India whether the Government of India have considered the report of the Repressive Laws Committee, 1922; and, if so, whether it is proposed to take action with a view to carrying out the recommendations of the Committee, with special reference to the Bombay Ordinance of 1827?
§ Mr. BENNI would refer my hon. Friend to the reply given to a similar question by ray hon. and gallant Friend the Member for Southern Derbyshire (Major Pole) on 9th December, 1929, of which I will send him a copy. No action as regards the Bombay Regulation of 1827 is contemplated at the present time.
