§ 14. Mr. MARLEYasked the Secretary of State for India whether he has received the report of the Sisganj Firing Inquiry Committee, appointed by the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandak Committee to inquire into incidents connected with the hartal in Delhi on 6th May, 1930; and, if so, whether he proposes to take any action in the matter?
§ Mr. BENNI have not received a copy of the report, but I can assure my hon. Friend that the matter is receiving careful consideration by the Government of India. My hon. Friend will no doubt have seen in the "Times" of 1st July an account of the recent deputation from 10 the Sikh Community to the Viceroy. This deputation raised the matter of the Delhi incident and their representations received a sympathetic hearing.
§ 15. Mr. MARLEYasked the Secretary of State for India whether he has received the report of the committee appointed by Mahajana Sagha in Madras to inquire into happenings in Madras on 23rd and 25th April, 1930; and, if so, whether the report will be made available for Members of this House?
