§ The PRIME MINISTERIf I may take the second question first, the Motion for the suspension of the Eleven o'Clook 1184 Rule is to apply only to the first two Orders on the Paper, the Coal Mines [Money] (No. 2) Resolution, and the Unemployment Insurance (No. 2) Bill—Consideration of Lords Amendments. I would remind the House, however, that the Consolidated Fund (No. 2) Bill is exempt from the operation of the Eleven o'Clock Rule, and we would like to get that too, but the Eleven o'Clock Rule will be used for no other purpose.
With reference to the first question, the business for next week will be:
Monday: Consolidated. Fund (No. 2) Bill, further stages; the Second Reading of the Mental Treatment Bill [Lords]; and Committee stage of the necessary Money Resolution. The Report stage of the Money Resolution for the Coal Mines Bill will also be taken on this day. I understand there is agreement about that.
On Tuesday and Thursday, the Coal Mines Bill will be in Committee.
On any day, if time permits, other Orders may be taken.
§ Sir K. WOODWith reference to the business on Monday. The right hon. Gentleman may observe that there is an Order before the Mental Treatment Bill, which is a very important. Bill, and will need, I think, some considerable time for its discussion. I take it the right hon. Gentleman will not press for the Second Reading stage of that Bill to be completed if the business on the first Order takes some considerable time?
§ The PRIME MINISTERI will have to consider that and see whether it will be necessary to suspend the Eleven o'Clock Rule.
§ Mr. THORNECan the right hon. Gentleman tell me how many mental defects sit in the House of Lords?
