§ Dr. SHIELSBy agreement between the Governments of Kenya, Zanzibar, and the Tanganyika Territory, arrangements were made for Dr. von Bonde, Government Marine Biologist and Director of the Fisheries and Marine Biological Survey, Union of South Africa, to visit East Africa for the purpose of surveying the sea fisheries. Dr. von Bonde, who arrived at Mombasa on the 20th September, 1928, has made reports on the sea fisheries of Kenya and Zanzibar. As no suitable vessel was available for continuing the survey as far as Dar-es-Salaam, the Government of the Tanganyika Territory decided not to participate in the survey.
