HC Deb 27 January 1930 vol 234 c596
32. Mr. MANDER

asked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs whether the Hungarian optants question has been finally settled by the recent agreement at The Hague; and, if not, what the position is?

Mr. A. HENDERSON

Yes, Sir. A final settlement was agreed in principle and accepted by the parties concerned at The Hague; certain financial details remain to be worked out by a technical committee.

Mr. MANDER

Does that mean that the incident is entirely closed and that the right hon. Gentleman will not have to go before the Council of the League of Nations again?

Mr. HENDERSON

Yes, that is the position.
