HC Deb 27 January 1930 vol 234 c606
59. Captain Sir GEORGE BOWYER

asked the Minister of Agriculture whether the agricultural policy of His Majesty's Government has been or is being placed before the Agricultural Conference now sitting?

Mr. N. BUXTON

It has been decided that the proceedings of the Agricultural Conference should be private, and in these circumstances I am not prepared to answer questions as to the matters before it.

Sir K. WOOD

Will the Minister explain why this Conference is being held in private, seeing that it is a matter of great public importance and especially as the right hon. Gentleman has not announced his policy?
