82. Mr. FRANK OWENasked the Minister of Health how many farm labourers' cottages have been repaired under the Housing (Rural Workers) Act, 1926?
§ Mr. GREENWOODUp to the 31st December last, the latest date for which figures are available, assistance had been promised under the Housing (Rural Workers) Act in respect of 2,510 dwellings in England and Wales. Work had been finished on 1,669 of these and was in progress on a further 650. Applications in respect of an additional 396 dwellings were then before the local authorities.
§ Captain CAZALETIs the right hon. Gentleman satisfied that the majority of authorities are working this Act to the best of their ability?
