§ 41. Mr. EDEasked the Home Secretary how many authorities have made by-laws prohibiting the creation of litter in public places?
§ Mr. CLYNESSince a model form of by-law for this purpose was drawn up in 1900, 205 counties and boroughs have made by-laws. I could not without lengthy inquiry give the number of local authorities which have by-laws in forms older than the model; and I have no record of by-laws made under Acts not administered by my Department as e.g. parks by-laws.
§ 42. Mr. EDEasked the Home Secretary how many county councils, county borough councils, non-county borough councils, and urban district councils, respectively, may make by-laws regulating advertisements in their areas; and how many in each class have made by-laws?
§ Mr. CLYNESAs the answer contains a number of figures, I propose, with the permission of my hon. Friend, to circulate it in the OFFICIAL REPORT.
