Dr. VERNON DAVIESasked the President of the Board of Education if he is aware that many education authorities are of opinion that maintenance grants for school children at 14 years of age should be provided exclusively from Exchequer funds; and will he favourably consider such a course on account of the poverty in many of the industrial and depressed areas in the country?
