§ 9. Sir A. STEEL-MAITLANDasked the Lord Privy Seal when the White Paper, which was promised for last week, stating the public works approved for grant by the Unemployment Grants Committee, may be expected; and whether the estimated cost, the amount of employment provided, and the degree of anticipation will be stated in each case?
Mr. THOMASThe issue of this Paper has been postponed in order that particulars of certain schemes now under consideration might be included in it. I hope that it will now be issued early in March. As regards the last part of the question, the particulars given of schemes approved by the Unemployment Grants Committee will be on similar lines to those contained in the earlier Paper.
§ Sir A. STEEL-MAITLANDCannot the right hon. Gentleman give us rather more specific information than is contained in the earlier Paper as to the three items mentioned in the last part of the question? I am sure that such information would be of interest to every Member of the House.
