§ 84. Mr. KELLYasked the Minister of Transport whether, in the appointment of the chairman of the Central Electricity Board, a condition was made that he should devote his whole time to the work?
§ Mr. HERBERT MORRISONYes, Sir.
§ Mr. KELLYIn view of the laying down of that condition, can my hon. Friend say why it is that so many other appointments are being added in connection with this work?
§ Mr. MORRISONI think that the phrase "so many other appointments" is not justified. At present, in each of these cases, the Minister for the time being has been consulted, and he has come to the conclusion that these duties are not inconsistent with a full-time appointment.
