HC Deb 18 February 1930 vol 235 cc1152-3
50. Sir KINGSLEY WOOD

asked the Prime Minister whether he proposes to afford early facilities for the Trade Disputes Bill?

Mr. P. SNOWDEN

I would refer the right hon. Member to the answer which the Prime Minister gave him on the 29th January, to which I have nothing to add.

Sir K. WOOD

Is the right hon. Gentleman aware that a good deal has happened since then, and has he had orders from a number of his supporters? I want to know when this Bill is going to be brought in, and whether it will have precedence over the Housing Bill and similar Measures?

Mr. SNOWDEN

The right hon. Gentleman is evidently in possession of information of which I am ignorant. With regard to the latter part of the question, the Bill will be brought in when the Government think fit, and the convenience of the right hon. Gentleman will not be considered.

Mr. C. WILLIAMS

Has the right hon. Gentleman got the consent of the Trade Union Council on this matter?
