HC Deb 18 February 1930 vol 235 c1154
55. Captain MARGESSON

asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer whether he can give the number of persons liable for Income Tax on incomes exceeding £1,000 per annum but not exceeding £1,500 per annum; on incomes exceeding £1,500 but not exceeding £2,000 per annum; and on incomes exceeding £2,000 per annum?

Mr. P. SNOWDEN

No statistics are available of the distribution of incomes not exceeding £2,000 per annum. The hon. and gallant Member will find particulars of the incomes exceeding £2,000 in the Super-tax statistics given in Tables 63 and 64 of the 71st Report of the Commissioners of Inland Revenue (Command Paper 3176).
