61. Dr. DAVIESasked the President of the Board of Education if, in engaging retired teachers to fill the shortage occasioned by the compulsory raising of the school age in 1931, the amount of pension will be taken into account in fixing their remuneration, or will they receive the standard rate of pay for their status in the profession in addition to their pension?
§ Sir C. TREVELYANWhere teachers in receipt of pensions return to service, the Teachers' Superannuation Act, 1925, provides that their pensions shall cease during their employment. Pensions would not, therefore, be taken into account in fixing their remuneration.
