§ 64. Mr. HOPKINasked the First Commissioner of Works if his Department has been approached by the Carmarthenshire County Council regarding the Carmarthen town bridge; how long ago that was; and what steps have been taken since that date to take this bridge from the list of Ancient Monuments?
§ Mr. LANSBURYDiscussions have been proceeding between my Department, the Ministry of Transport and the county council since 1924. Recently, the question of the responsibility of the bridge for flooding has arisen and I am waiting for a report on the matter from the county council. When this is received, I hope to be able to make an early decision.
