§ 69. Mr. EDEasked the Minister of Health whether, seeing that in both public assistance and education, the county and county borough councils are the successors of ad hoc authorities, and that the relations between the public assistance and education committees and the councils are statutorily the same, he will seek to amend the Local Authorities (Admission of the Press to Meetings) Act, 1908, by bringing public assistance committers within its scope, thus completing the administrative analogies between the committees?
§ Mr. GREENWOODI have given further careful consideration to this question, but I do not think it desirable to modify the view as to local discretion which I expressed in the answer I gave to my hon. Friend on 80th January.
