HC Deb 06 February 1930 vol 234 c2054
16. Mr. WELLOCK

asked the Minister of Labour if she can state approximately the number of persons between the ages of 65 and 70 who are in employments?

Miss BONDFIELD

Figures are not available in respect of persons between the ages of 65 and 70, but it is estimated that there are approximately 250,000 men and 30,000 women aged 65 and over in employment in Great Britain. The great majority of these persons would be under 70 years of age.
