Mr. HERRIOTSasked the Minister of Transport whether his Department has sanctioned the erection of the bridge over the London and North Eastern Railway at Belasis Lane crossing, Haverton Hill-on-Tees; if so, what is the cause of the delay in beginning this work; and will be use his influence to get an early start on this bridge in view of the number of unemployed in the district and the fact that this is a dangerous crossing?
§ Mr. HERBERT MORRISONI have not received formal application for a grant, but am informed that the Durham County Council are preparing a scheme for the erection of a bridge over the level crossing, and hope to proceed with the work at an early date.
