§ Mr. BENNAccording to the October issue of the Indian Army List, the number is 65, seven of whom are Captains. In present circumstances, it will probably be about five years before an appreciable number of Indian officers have been appointed company commanders, but this must be a rough estimate as these appointments depend upon the occurrence of vacancies.
