§ The FINANCIAL SECRETARY to the WAR OFFICE (Mr. Shinwell)Apart from the relief in December last of the 2nd Battalion, The Green Howards, by the 2nd Battalion, The King's Own Royal Regiment, no changes have been made during the last six months in the troops stationed in the Sudan. All Egyptian troops were removed from the Sudan in 1924 and none have been stationed there since that date.
§ Mr. SMITHERSIs it the policy of the Government under any agreement arrived at with the delegation from Egypt that any troops shall be sent back to the Sudan?
§ Mr. SHINWELLI think the hon. Member had better await the result of the present negotiations.
