HC Deb 16 April 1930 vol 237 cc2882-3
16. Mr. WEST RUSSELL

asked the First Lord of the Admiralty whether the question of the contributions of the Dominions to Imperial naval defence is to be discussed at the forthcoming Imperial Conference; and, if not, whether he will urge that it should be placed on the agenda?

Mr. ALEXANDER

The agenda for the Imperial Conference have not yet been settled, but I assume that, as on previous occasions, the subjects to be discussed will include naval defence. As regards the particular aspect of the question which is referred to by the hon. Member, I would refer him to paragraphs 2 and 3 of the resolutions on the subject of defence passed by the Imperial Conference of 1923, which were re-affirmed at the Conference of 1926.
