HC Deb 14 April 1930 vol 237 c2611
16. Sir NICHOLAS GRATTAN-DOYLE

asked the Secretary of State for India what proportions of the whole expenditure on salaries and expenses of the India Office is represented by the Grant-in-Aid of £106,000 in the Civil Estimates for the current year?

Mr. BENN

The estimated expenditure on salaries and expenses of the India Office for the year 1930–31 is £257,000. Towards this Imperial Revenues contribute indirectly a sum of £12,000 in addition to the Grant-in-Aid of £106,000. The total contribution, £118,000, represents approximately 46 per cent. of the estimated expenditure.
