§ Mr. CLYNESAs I stated in reply to a similar question by my hon. Friend on the 30th January last, this is a big question on which much further research is necessary, and at my request the Medical Research Council have set up an expert Committee to institute and co-ordinate research into the subject. This Committee is already at work and will, I feel sure, proceed as expeditiously as the nature of the task permits, but I am afraid that no early results are to be expected. I may add that I am writing to my hon. Friend a letter explaining the position more fully than is possible within the limits of a Parliamentary answer.
