Mr. A. HENDERSONThe question will be considered by the Committee of Imperial Defence when reports which have been called for on various technical questions involved are received.
§ Sir K. WOODIs the matter likely to take some time?
Mr. HENDERSONI cannot say what the hon. and gallant Member has in mind when he uses the word "expedited.".
Sir F. HALLI am referring to the decision of the Government. Will they go carefully into the matter and let us know whether they are in favour of the Channel tunnel?
Mr. HENDERSONI have already said that the matter will be considered when the report has been received.
Sir F. HALLAnd I ask the right hon. Gentleman whether it will be expedited in order that a decision may be arrived at at an early date.
§ Mr. MILLSIf the Channel tunnel is to be proceeded with, will it not be a case of excavation rather than expediting?
