HC Deb 08 April 1930 vol 237 cc1959-60
75. Mr. DAY

asked the Postmaster-General whether he will consider, where there are several telephone cabinets for the public use, of having one or more suitably labelled with the words smoking prohibited?

The POSTMASTER - GENERAL (Mr. Lees-Smith)

It is undesirable to add to the number of notices necessarily displayed in or on telephone cabinets; and as that now proposed would in most cases be a dead letter I do not propose to adopt it.
