asked the Minister of Agriculture in what areas the national mark scheme has been introduced in respect of beef and flout?

Mr. N. BUXTON

The national mark scheme for beef is, at present, limited to the London and Birmingham consuming areas. The national mark flour scheme is operated by some 150 millers and flour packers, and supplies are available in most parts of the country.

Will the right hon. Gentleman consider the extension of this scheme to other districts?

Mr. BUXTON

Yes, Sir; we are constantly considering the matter, and we hope to extend it.
