§ 55. Mr. EDEasked the Minister of Transport when he anticipates being able to announce his decision on the inquiry held last July into the Dorking Electricity Order?
§ Mr. HERBERT MORRISONI am not satisfied that the proposals of the Order as it stands are in the best interests of the development of the electricity supply in Dorking and neighbouring areas, and at my request the position is being discussed by the Electricity Commissioners with the promoters and other parties concerned with a view to making further proposals.
§ Mr. EDEIn view of the length of time that has elapsed, can my hon. Friend say when any decision is likely to be reached?
§ Mr. MORRISONI do not know that the length of time that has elapsed necessarily operates against the point of view of my hon. Friend.
