HC Deb 14 November 1929 vol 231 cc2223-4
94. Colonel HOWARD-BURY

asked the Minister of Agriculture whether he will introduce legislation which will compel imported breadstuffs to come here in the form of wheat instead of flour?

Dr. ADDISON

I am not in a position to add anything to the reply which my right hon. Friend gave to a question on this subject, asked by the hon. Member for the City of Chester (Sir C. Cayzer) on the 8th July last, of which I am sending the hon. Member a copy.

Colonel HOWARD-BURY

Cannot the right hon. Gentleman say if the Government intend to do something with regard to this extremely important matter?

Dr. ADDISON

What we may possibly be able to do ultimately does not arise on this question.
