HC Deb 12 November 1929 vol 231 c1715
47. Viscount WOLMER

asked the Prime Minister whether he will reconsider his decision that the Minister of Agriculture should not be afforded an opportunity of explaining the agricultural policy of the Government until his Departmental Estimates are debated?

The PRIME MINISTER

I have nothing to add to the answer which I gave on the 7th November to the hon. Member for Eye (Mr. Granville).

Viscount WOLMER

In view of the fact that those Estimates cannot possibly be taken until April, will the Prime Minister take an opportunity of explaining what he meant when he told the electors last May—[Interruption.]

Mr. BOOTHBY

In view of the fact that the Minister of Agriculture is reported to have a policy for agriculture, could he issue it in the form of a White Paper?

The PRIME MINISTER

I answered that question the last time I was questioned on the subject.
