asked the First Lord of the Admiralty when, and where, the two sloops of the 1929 naval programme are to be laid down?

Mr. ALEXANDER

One vessel will be built at Devonport and the other at Chatham. I regret that I cannot yet give the actual date of laying down, but the work preparatory to laying down is in hand.
