asked the Secretary of State for War by how much the representation of the Army at the Cenotaph Service on Armistice Day is going to be cut down?

Mr. SHAW

The number of officers and other ranks of the Army on parade at the Cenotaph Service on Armistice Day this year will be approximately 350 less than last year. The total number of members of the Forces will be approximately 630, of which roughly 50 per cent. will belong to the Army.

Yes, Sir. The actual figures will be: Royal Navy and Marines, 180; Army, including Territorials, 330; Royal Air Force, 100; Merchant Navy, 20.
