Mr. EDEasked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs if the trial has yet taken place of the person accused of the murder of Thomas Hunt, of South Shields, in Havana, in June of this year; if so, what the result of the trial was; and, if not, when it is anticipated the trial will take place?
Mr. A. HENDERSONThe trial has taken place and the accused man was acquitted for lack of sufficient evidence. A representative from His Majesty's Legation at Havana was present at the trial and His Majesty's Minister is sending a full report by despatch.
