§ The MINISTER of HEALTH (Mr. Chamberlain)The average number of men ordinarily engaged in some regular occupation in receipt of Poor Law relief during the year ended 31st March, 1929, in England and Wales was approximately 106,500. The average number of dependants relieved was approximately 300,700, including 207,100 children.
