Viscountess ASTORasked the Minister of Health what changes in administration he is proposing as a result of the recommendations of the Report of the Committee of Inquiry into the London Lock Hospital; and whether the constitution of the board of management has been so changed as to give a greater choice of women?
§ Sir K. WOODAs indicated in reply to questions on this subject on the 14th March, the hospital is a voluntary institution, and responsibility for carrying recommendations of the Committee into effect rests, not with my right hon. Friend but with the board of the hospital. My right hon. Friend has not yet received specific proposals from the board as to their reconstitution, but he understands that they contemplate the inclusion of women on the board in future.
