§ The UNDER-SECRETARY of STATE for INDIA (Earl Winterton)The amount expended up to the end of November last was Rs.13,37,06,820, and the balance of the estimate required to complete the project was at that date Rs.1,11,42,380. The sterling equivalents of these amounts, converted at 1s. 6d. the rupee, are respectively £10,028,011 and £835,678. These are the latest figures available.
