HC Deb 24 July 1929 vol 230 c1299
67. Mr. MACLEAN

asked the Minister of Transport whether a geophysical survey has been made of the proposed route or routes for a Forth and Clyde canal; and, if not, whether he is prepared to have such a survey made forthwith?

Mr. HERBERT MORRISON

The answer to the first part of the question, is, so far as I am aware, in the negative. As regards the second part, I am not in a position at present to add to the answer which I gave on the 16th July to the hon. Member for Berwick and Haddington (Mr. Sinkinson).

Mr. MACLEAN

Can the hon. Member inform the House when he will be in a position to make a definite reply?

Mr. MORRISON

I am afraid I am not in a position to make a statement about that at the present time.
