asked the Lord Privy Seal when the Government anticipates that a report will be made by the small expert committee appointed in 1926 to investigate the proposed Severn barrages?

Mr. THOMAS

As the House is already aware the expert committee recently reported to the Severn Barrage Sub-Committee of the Committee of Civil Research. That sub-committee has since submitted to the Government a report which is now under consideration.
