HC Deb 17 July 1929 vol 230 cc428-9
65. Mr. FREEMAN

asked the Minister of Transport if his attention has been called to the slippery condition of some of the tarred roads in Breconshire and Radnorshire, particularly on steep hills; and, in view of the many accidents of a serious nature that have occurred recently, can steps he taken to improve the condition of these roads?

Mr. HERBERT MORRISON

I am not aware that exceptional conditions prevail in these two counties. In March last my Department issued a Circular to all local authorities tendering advice and recommendations on the subject of slippery roads and I am forwarding a copy to my hon. Friend.
