HC Deb 15 July 1929 vol 230 c28
36. Mr. KEDWARD

asked the Minister of Agriculture whether the Government have under consideration the compulsory provision and use of weighing facilities at all public auctions where fat pigs are sold?

Mr. N. BUXTON

The Pig Industry Council, which sits under the ægis of my Department, has recently discussed this matter with the National Farmers' Union. The Union is proceeding to consult its county branches whose views will, no doubt, be shortly available.
