Mr. LOCKER-LAMPSONThe situation in Afghanistan remains as described in previous statements which have been made on the subject. So far as I am aware, members of the German, Persian, Soviet and Turkish Missions are still in Kabul.
Mr. MALONEHave arrangements been made to evacuate the British Con- 1945 suls at Kandahar and Jalalabad, and can we be assured that there is no intention of a policy of intervention?
