§ 46. Commander BELLAIRSasked the Prime Minister whether, in view of experience of Standing Order No. 27a giving powers to the Chair to select new Clauses or Amendments in the House and in Committee of the Whole House, and in view of difficulties experienced on Standing Committees, he will negotiate through the usual channels in order that a Resolution may be expeditiously passed extending these powers to Chairmen of Standing Committees?
