§ The LORD ADVOCATEI beg to move, in page 47, line 27, to leave out the word "unreduced," and to insert instead thereof the word "reduced."
§ Mr. JOHNSTONWill the Lord Advocate explain what this Amendment means?
§ The LORD ADVOCATEIt provides for the apportionment being made on the reduced basis, and applying the same basis to the apportionment. It was a slip in the original drafting. Obviously since the basis on which they are to be apportioned in the future will be the reduced value, it ought to be the basis of allocation between the different areas.
§ Amendment agreed to.
