In page 94, line 16, at the end, insert the words:
(3) A transferred officer who on or before the date of his transfer by virtue of this Act shall have attained the age of 50 years and shall have completed not less than 25 years' service under any local authority or local authorities may with the consent of the Minister relinquish his office at any

time within five years after the appointed day, and any such officer who so relinquishes his office shall be deemed to have suffered a direct pecuniary loss in consequence of this Act.
