HC Deb 11 February 1929 vol 225 c26
41. Sir N. GRATTAN-DOYLE

asked the Postmaster-General whether he has under consideration the question of adopting the 24-hour system of time indication in the postal services, in view of the advantages which it has over the present method of dividing the 24 hours?

The ASSISTANT POSTMASTER-GENERAL (Viscount Wolmer)

If the 24-hour system were adopted generally, there would be no difficulty in applying it to the Post Office services.
