asked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs if he will inform the House the nature of the duties performed in the Foreign Office by the hon. Member for Coventry (Mr. Noel Baker)?

Mr. A. HENDERSON
He acts as my Parliamentary Private Secretary.

§ Captain CROOKSHANK
Was the right hon. Gentleman correct last Monday when he said that the hon. Member was acting in a voluntary capacity, as distinguished from the Parliamentary Private Secretary to the Under-Secretary of State?

Mr. HENDERSON
He can still act as my Parliamentary Secretary and act in a voluntary capacity.
