§ 76. Mr. A. M. SAMUELasked the Minister of Transport whether he will confer with the local authorities as to their plans for widening Jermyn Street, Piccadilly, before the Commissioners of Crown Lands deal with the site of the Geological Museum in that street?
§ Mr. HERBERT MORRISONThe question of the widening of Jermyn Street is primarily one for the local authorities concerned, and I am not aware that any such proposal is under consideration by them.
§ Mr. SAMUELIs the hon. Gentleman aware that the motor traffic renders the street dangerous to life and limb?
§ Mr. MORRISONI am not aware that it is particularly so in this street. In any case, the matter is one for the Westminster City Council rather than for the Department, at any rate, in the first instance.
