asked the President of the Board of Trade whether he can now state the policy of the Government with reference to the Dyes Act when it expires at the end of 1930; and whether it is proposed to take any action?

Would the right hon. Gentleman say whether, in view of the consideration that he has promised, he has yet been able to get out the figures of the number of persons in employment in this industry?

Will the right hon. Gentleman not consider the many advantages of doing nothing in this matter?

The whole subject, of course, is at present under a form of review. It is much too early to make 1191 any statement of policy, but I can assure hon. Members that everything will be borne in mind.
