HC Deb 22 April 1929 vol 227 cc627-8
53. Mr. PETHICK-LAWRENCE

asked the Home Secretary whether he proposes to take steps, by legislation or otherwise, to prevent geographical restrictions being imposed by magistrates among the conditions on which persons are bound over?

Sir W. JOYNSON-HICKS

No, Sir. If in a given case it seemed to me that the geographical condition imposed was so unreasonable that it ought not to stand, it would be open to me to advise an exercise of the Prerogative.
