HC Deb 18 April 1929 vol 227 c417
76. Mr. HORE-BELISHA

asked the First Lord of the Admiralty whether it is possible for a man to draw his long-service pension weekly or monthly as his own option instead of quarterly?

Lieut.-Colonel HEADLAM

Under the regulations naval long service pensions are paid quarterly in advance, but if an individual pensioner gave adequate reasons his request for payment monthly would be considered.

77. Mr. ROBINSON

asked the First Lord of the Admiralty whether any orders have been issued that men joining the Navy after October, 1925, and subsequently becoming eligible for service pension, shall not receive the Greenwich Hospital age increase in the pension of 4d. a day on attaining the age of 65?

Lieut.-Colonel HEADLAM

A Regulation to the effect indicated was sanctioned by an Order-in-Council, dated the 16th of December, 1925, a copy of which I am sending to the hon. Member.
